Mike Lindell's Lawyers in Colorado Defamation Lawsuit Demand Withdrawal and Claim Owed Millions
Lawyers representing Mike Lindell and his companies in a defamation lawsuit claim they are owed millions in legal fees.
In a federal defamation lawsuit, lawyers representing Mike Lindell and his companies, MyPillow and FrankSpeech, claim that they are owed millions of dollars in legal fees and have not been paid for several months. The attorneys from Parker Daniels Kibort LLC and Reisch Law Firm LLC have requested to withdraw from the case, citing financial risk and the potential threat to the existence of their firms. Lindell, a prominent election conspiracy theorist, founded FrankSpeech, a conservative website. The lawsuit was filed by former Dominion Voting Systems executive Eric Coomer, who alleges that Lindell falsely accused him of rigging the 2020 presidential election. Lindell has denied these claims. Coomer's attorneys have accused Lindell of being vulgar and disrespectful during depositions, and have requested that he appear for a deposition in federal court. The attorneys for Parker Daniels Kibort also state that they have not been paid for their work in two other defamation cases against Lindell, one by Dominion and another by Smartmatic. Both Dominion and Smartmatic are seeking over $1 billion in damages in each case. Lindell and his companies paid the firm in a timely manner until 2022, when payments began to slow and litigation fees increased. The Reisch Law Firm also claims that Lindell and his companies have informed them that they will no longer pay any attorney's fees. Coomer has filed lawsuits against several other election conspiracy theorists, including Donald Trump's 2020 campaign, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, and Joe Oltmann. One America News and Chanel Rion, a correspondent for the far-right channel, settled a lawsuit with Coomer in Denver District Court.
