NBA roundup: Bam Adebayo heroics lift Heat over Magic

Adebayo leads Heat to win, Banchero misses buzzer-beater. Harris scores 37 in 76ers win, Pacers triumph without top scorer. Thompson shines.

The Miami Heat secured a 99-96 win over the Orlando Magic, thanks to a go-ahead jumper by Bam Adebayo with 18.8 seconds left in the game. The Magic's Paolo Banchero had a chance to tie the game, but missed a 3-pointer as time expired.

Banchero led all scorers with 25 points, and also had eight rebounds and six assists. Moritz Wagner scored 19 points off the bench for the Magic. Duncan Robinson scored a team-high 23 points for the Heat, with Adebayo adding 21 points and 11 rebounds.

In another game, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Sacramento Kings 112-93, with Tobias Harris scoring a season-high 37 points. The Indiana Pacers also secured a win, beating the Atlanta Hawks 126-108, despite the absence of their top scorer, Tyrese Haliburton.

Klay Thompson led the Golden State Warriors to a 140-131 victory over the Chicago Bulls, scoring 30 points. The Denver Nuggets defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 125-113, with Nikola Jokic recording his 12th triple-double of the season.

The Los Angeles Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 128-119, with Paul George scoring 37 points. The Minnesota Timberwolves dominated the Portland Trail Blazers, winning 116-93, with Rudy Gobert scoring 24 points and grabbing 17 rebounds.

The Utah Jazz secured a 145-113 win over the Toronto Raptors, with Lauri Markkanen scoring 22 points. The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Charlotte Hornets 135-99, with Victor Wembanyama scoring 26 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Finally, the Houston Rockets edged the Detroit Pistons 112-110, with Alperen Sengun scoring 29 points.
